Prepare to say hello to the New Year in style by joining sublime vocalist Joy Rose and this all-star soul collective born out of SW16 as they serve up their good time tunes with a heady mix of choice jazz-funk, rare groove and disco cuts, with plenty of dancing into the early hours of 2016! This is one funky night you won't want to miss. Ticket includes a free glass of bubbly on arrival.

Joy Rose (Vocal)

Joy Rose is an internationally renowned singer who has toured with Sting and leading UK soul band Incognito. 

"Joy Rose joined Sting for a duet and sang with such power and conviction that one could wonder why she did not sing on Sting’s album instead of Mary J Blige. She knocked the audience dead and got a standing ovation”.. “Joy Rose is yet another reminder that Sting knows the importance of surrounding himself with ‘A’ List musicians, she is simply breathtaking”. In 2006 Joy released a Gospel EP ‘Grace’ produced by Kipper the co-producer of Stings ‘Sacred Love'. And in the Summer of 2010 Joy released her first solo production 'Summer Is Here' which reached No 1 in the UK Soul chart. In January 2011 Joy released her solo album ‘The Rose In Me’. The album consist of 10 songs which she wrote and produced and was debuted on The Robert Elms BBC London show. In July 2014 Joy released her EP 'Wonderful' which is a collection of gospel songs, with jazz, reggae and dance influences. Tracks from the EP were play listed on Jazz FM, and Premier Gospel. The album features seasoned musicians: Jason Rebello, Neville Malcolm, Luke Smith, Xantone Blacq and UK Gospel rapper Karl Nova. 'Wonderful' has gained much traction and critical acclaim from her fans and the industry alike.

Janette Mason (keys)

Even without knowing it, there’s a fair chance if you’ll have heard Janette’s special musical touch time and again - on many albums from Ian Shaw to Robert Wyatt, live in concert with Oasis plus her contributions to movie and TV soundtracks.

A talented composer and arranger, she was recently commissioned to write the score for feature film, The Calling, contributed four arrangements to Ian Shaw’s album, Drawn to all Things, and produced and arranged Lea DeLaria’s current Warner Brothers release, The Live Smoke Sessions, which made the Grammy ballot.

As a Jazz musician, she has been a seminal figure on the British Jazz scene for the last fifteen years, sharing the stage with Mornington Lockett, Julian Siegel and many more.
