B L A N I D is a talented singer-songwriter hailing from Northern Ireland and Devon.
Her first official track released this February 'Numa Numa (Dragostea Din Tei) on all major streaming platforms. Though many know it as the Euro pop classic from O-zone. Blanid transforms it into something unrecognisable, it has to be heard to be believed. Described as "amazing" when debuted on BBC Radio Kent, this is a release you don't want to miss.
Blanid never fails to enchant the listener. Her music combines the sweet notes of Eva Cassidy with the power of Nana Mouskouri, the raw emotion of Ray LaMontagne and the sorrow of Leonard Cohen, culminating in a fusion of Indie-Folk and Blues.
"Got lost in the woozy, ghostly Celtic soul" — Jude Rogers, Guardian music critic
"Phenomenal…sometimes you have a moment where you hear greatness" — Dominic King, BBC Radio Kent
"Calon" is Adam Lewis, a Welsh musician who has been based in South-West London for just under 3 years. Having similarities to the likes of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Billy Joel and Elvis Costello, Calon's songwriting blend of alternative rock and jazz/blues makes for an unconventional but nonetheless exciting style of playing. In Welsh, "Calon" can mean a few things (Spirit, Centre, Emotion) but literally translates as "Heart", something that is reflected through the emotive and honest nature of his songwriting.
A Hideaway Joint Promotion in Association with the artists.
