Important update, 19th July - Due to circumstances beyond our control, tonight's show has been POSTPONED and we will be publicising a new date for The Drystones, and Roslyn Lloyd, in the near future. We have received a call today from The Drystones - one of them has sustained a minor injury that prevents him from performing this evening. For those customers who still wish to enjoy live music this evening, we recommend our main room event - Mo Pleasure

Folkaway - a monthly showcase of the finest folk, roots and acoustic music. This month we welcome The Drystones - an award winning, young, lively folk duo from Priddy in Somerset playing violin, guitar and whistle, who have made a big splash since they formed, plus London singer songwriter Roslyn Lloyd!

TICKETS £10 IN ADVANCE - £12 ON THE DOOR!

The Drystones are an award winning, young, lively folk duo from Priddy in Somerset playing violin, guitar and whistle, who have made a big splash since they formed.

They play a mix of their own tunes and arrangements of folk tunes given drive, beat and energy appearing at festivals all over the Country (including Sidmouth, Broadstairs, Warwick, Bromyard, Purbeck and Folk East), and their 2013 Glastonbury Festival performance was highlighted by Steve Lamacq on Radio 2 as his "recommendation of the day".

They were the 2015 Larmer Tree Breakthrough Music Award winners and were asked by Michael Eavis to play the 2015 Glastonbury Extravaganza when Joan Armatrading had to cancel! Their third CD is a Songlines "Top Of The World" album. For just two people they make a lot of sound, you will not be bored!

"To describe their instrumental style as spirited and animated would be akin to asserting that Bellowhead can be quite an energetic band" - Clive Pownceby, Living Tradition

"absolutely blown away by their energy" Will Lang - Halsway Manor Centre for Folk Arts

"The Drystones demonstrate a sophisticated musical maturity that is far beyond their ages" Roy Spencer - Folk Radio UK

Support comes from Rosyln Lloyd, a singer-songwriter from London whose music has a strong focus on powerful lyrics and enchanting harmonies.

A Hideaway Joint Promotion in Association with The Drystones.
