With ‘Never Gonna Let You Go’ hitting the number one slot in the UK Soul Charts (and staying in the charts for an incredible sixteen weeks) plus the follow up single 'All My Life' bursting into the top five, then you know that Donovan Blackwood is a must see live show!

He started out in church in the gospel group AOSIS (Angels Of Soul In Song) back in 1986 and has been singing ever since. Providing lead vocal on the cover version of Jellybean’s 1995 dance classic ‘The Real Thing’, over the years his voice has been used by an array of "A" list talent; as lead singer with Heatwave and Hot Chocolate, and backing for the likes of Dionne Warwick, Mica Paris, Maxi Priest, Steve Brookstein, Lee Ryan, Tina Turner, Enrique Iglesias, Lionel Richie and James Morrison.

There have also been various TV appearances on MTV, The Word, The Clive James Show, Saturday Night Fever and Motown Live and appearances at many of the worlds top venues for live performance including The Greek Theatre in Hollywood, The Apollo Theatre in New York, The London Palladium, NEC Arena, Glastonbury Festival, Wembley Arena.

Donovan has mixed it with the best in the business, co-writing with Simon Climie and Paul Barry, an impromptu live duet with Lionel Ritchie and sharing the stage with performers like Earth, Wind and Fire, Michael McDonald, Montell Jordan and Shalamar, Alexandra Burke and Angie Brown, but as his recent UK Soul Chart success has shown, this is his time now.
