Sunday Lunch - Brandyn Shaw and his Rhythm Makers
Leading his Radio Rhythm Makers dance band, with its authentic dynamic style and sound, Brandyn Shaw celebrates the glamour, elegance and verve that became the Golden Era of British Dance Bands, with his authentic recreation of an early 1940s live radio broadcast from one of London’s famed ballrooms. Before the music begins there will be a special screening of two classic Laurel & Hardy ‘shorts’ and with the afternoon in the oh so safe hands of our special guest compere, Viv The Spiv, we’re all set for a special Easter Sunday for the whole family to enjoy!
UNDER 16s admitted FREE - Please let us know how many children will be attending in the Comments Box section of the booking form.
Brandyn's aim is to take you all on a musical journey back through the 1920s, '30s & '40s, the birth of popular music and the origins of many of the classic popular hits we know and love today - plus one or two that may have been forgotten along the way.
Listen to hits by Roy Fox, Lew Stone, Henry Hall and many more, with vocal tributes to Al Bowlly, Val Rosing, J. Pat O'Malley, Sam Browne and even the cheeky novelty vocals of Harry Roy.
