After working with MJ Cole in 2002, penning the top 20 hit “Wondering Why”, Vula quickly became a sought after singer/songwriter, backing vocalist & arranger in the industry. She has lent her talents to many successful pop artists & groups having worked with the likes of Adele, Dizzee Rascal, Beverly Knight, Sam Sparro, Bugs in the Attic, Nate James and others. She is best known for her work with Basement Jaxx with whom she co-wrote & featured on their Top 10 hit single “Oh My Gosh” in the UK singles charts as well their Top 20 hit “Hush Boy”. She is also one half of the electric-soul duo DivaGeek, who independently released their debut album “He Said, She Said” in 2012 to critical acclaim.
Possibly one of the greatest singers this country has ever produced, David McAlmont has collaborated with everyone from Bond composer David Arnold to Michael Nyman, Paul Weller and most famously with Bernard Butler producing the classic hit single Yes. McAlmont's music is pure emotion, drawing unique, soulful portraits from his own life and philosophies, all beautifully framed by the finest soul.
Brendan is a trained singer in jazz, a writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist . Brendan was born and raised in the USA within a family of musicians. At the age of 20 he moved to Europe, where he went on to release solo material, has played countless sessions and live shows as well as working as a backing vocalist for the likes of The Basement Jaxx and many others.
Gwyneth Herbert is a strikingly original performer, award-winning composer and lyricist and versatile musical adventurer who continues to redefine and challenge expectations. With one foot in the jazz world and the other somewhere in the future, she has released 6 albums to date on both major and independent labels, including the first Blue Note UK release for 30 years. Since the huge success of 2013’s large-scale cross-artform project “The Sea Cabinet” - the result of an Aldeburgh Music residency - Gwyn has seen her musical co-written with celebrated playwright Diane Samuels open at the Southwark Playhouse, recorded a new run of BBC Radio 4’s Playlist Series singing the favourite tunes of Nell Gwyn and the Duke of Wellington, built an interdisciplinary installation about sculptors Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore and a Fun Palace in Stratford Station (both with artist Mel Brimfield), and recently spent a month in Kenya collecting lullabies, sharing songs in slum schools and staging multi-tribe storytelling happenings under the Mombasa stars.
