A unique re-imagining of the music of George Michael, put together by Hideaway's MD, Janette Mason, featuring the stunning vocals of David McAlmont (McAlmont & Butler) and Brendan Reilly with support from a top notch band.

David McAlmont

Possibly one of the greatest singers this country has ever produced, David McAlmont has collaborated with everyone from Bond composer David Arnold to Michael Nyman, Paul Weller and most famously with Bernard Butler producing the classic hit single Yes. David's music is pure emotion, drawing unique, soulful portraits from his own life and philosophies.

Brendan Reilly

Brendan is a trained singer in jazz, a writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Brendan was born and raised in the USA within a family of musicians. At the age of 20 he moved to Europe, where he went on to release solo material, has played countless sessions and live shows as well as working as a backing vocalist for the likes of Basement Jaxx and many others.

Janette Mason - Musical Director & Piano

Janette Mason is by now a familiar face at Hideaway. She took on the role of resident Musical Director in 2012 and has been producing an eclectic array of shows from Bond to Bowie and beyond. Her skills as a composer and arranger can be heard on her 2010 Trio CD ‘Alien Left Hand’ which was nominated for a Parliamentary Jazz Award and on the soundtrack to ‘Ruby Blue’ an award winning independent film starring Bob Hoskins. As a keyboard player she has worked with Oasis, Seal, Pulp and Robert Wyatt as well as the cream of the UK’s jazz performers including Clare Martin, Ian Shaw, and Clare Teal.

“A band leader of pugnacious flair and genuine unpredictability.” James Griffiths, The Guardian
