The Swing Commanders 1940s vintage Jazz stars perform at Hideaway Jazz Club

Packed with energy and serving up 1940s classics, boogie-woogie, Western swing and ‘50s jump jazz, these five musicians rock on stage, leading the party from the front with their instrument swapping virtuosity.

UNDER 16s admitted FREE - Please let us know how many children will be attending in the Comments Box section of the booking form.

The Swing Commanders take well crafted songs from the thirties to the fifties, from American Songbook classics to Western Swing and Novelty songs, and overlay them with lush vocal harmonies and hot solos. The rhythms, varying from ballads to jive to quicksteps always get the dance floor moving!

The band members have a wealth of musical experience, from bar room to classical concert hall, as well as an understanding of dance and theatre. This results in a stage show that is technically precise and wildly entertaining.

Line Up: Peter Riley (Vocals, Bass, Harmonica), Siena Lloyd (Vocals, Saxophone, Clarinet, Piano, Accordian, Bass), Daisy Thurkettle (Vocals, Violin, Bass, Piano), Stuart Smith (Vocals, Drums), Dan Smith (Vocals, Guitar, Steel Guitar)
