Sundays at Hideaway's Jazz Cafe, Start time 12pm, Free entry
Enjoy your perfect Sunday afternoon at Hideaway's Jazz Cafe with Janette Mason
Your favourite Jazz club, Hideaway, has recently opened a Jazz Cafe on Streatham’s High Road, the best new place to go for your fresh morning coffee or a delicious breakfast before work. We’re open throughout the day, so why not join us in the afternoon or evening for a relaxing cocktail or glass of wine, or choose something from the mouth-watering selection on our menus.
A sought after side man for the likes of Claire Martin and Lea DeLaria, Janette Mason is a talented composer and arranger. She was recently commissioned to write the score for MEDB’s Feature Film, ‘The Calling’, starring Susanah York and Brenda Blethyn, contributed four arrangements to Ian Shaw’s Album ‘Drawn to all Things’ and produced and arranged Lea DeLaria’s current Warner Brothers release ‘The Live Smoke Sessions’, which made the Grammy Ballot this year.
As a Jazz musician, she has been a seminal figure on the British Jazz Scene for the last fifteen years, sharing the stage with Mornington Lockett, Julian Siegel and many more.
Dive into a sumptuous plate of your favourite roast while our resident pianist, Janette Mason, swings the room with melodies from jazzy to mellow and everything in between. A regular on Hideaway’s main stage, you’ve probably heard her on tour with the likes of Pulp and Oasis! Our Sunday Lunch music in the Cafe is free entry, so come on down for a great afternoon!
For lunch, choose between Roast Rib of Beef, Roast Poussin, or our Vegetarian Roast! - each served with all the traditional trimmings and Yorkshire Pudding's! If you don’t fancy a roast, our brunch menu is available too! During the summer months we do not always offer the roast lunch menu so please call in advance to check.
