Our Sunday lunch shows are always a great day out for families as well and children are admitted free of charge (<16) – all we ask is that youngsters are old enough or well behaved enough to enjoy the show quietly without causing a disturbance - while booking please consider number of adults and state the children in the comments

Led by the lovely American songstress Kai Hoffman, swingin' retro band Kai's Cats has a fabulous lineup including some of London's hottest jazz players. Playing a swingin’ retro mix of tunes from the 40s, 50s and 60s, with numbers like Louis Jordan’s ‘There Ain’t Nobody Here But Us Chickens’ and a jump-jived version of Nat King Cole’s ‘Mona Lisa’ this band is guaranteed to get toes tappin’! MEOW!!!

In the style of great jazz entertainers such as Louis Armstrong, Louis Jordan and Nat King Cole, Kai’s Cats accessible, melodically swinging tunes are fun to listen to and even more fun for dancing.
Kai's Cats have been performing their flights of feline fancy since 2008. The Cats are purrrroud to have played at fabulous London swingin' events including Stompin' at the 100 Club for the London Swing Dance Society, Jitterbugs Lindy Hop Night at Marble Arch and C-Jam at the Bedford in Balham, with many events, jazz club and festival gigs in between.
Originally from the the beautiful coast of southeastern Massachusetts, USA, jazz singer and recording artist Kai Hoffman has been resident since 2008 at Ronnie Scott’s, one of the oldest jazz clubs in the world, with her fabulous swing and jump jive band, Kai’s Cats.
Having originally trained as a classical musician, Kai has also enjoyed a successful career as a French horn player, and has played with musicians including Nigel Kennedy, Jamie Cullum, John Dankworth, Cleo Laine, Phil Woods and comedian Bruce Forsyth, as well as with orchestras including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Kai studied at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, Germany, and the Royal College of Music in London.

Pianist Simon Whiteside is responsible for all of Kai's Cats’ fabulous arrangements! An accomplished orchestrator and arranger for films (including Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix (2007)), Simon is a true jazz cat, with loves including Miles Davis 'Birth of the Cool', Hank Mobley, Marty Paige and Nelson Riddle, and runs various big bands, including SWXI, an eleven-piece 'Birth of the Cool'-style band.
