Jono made his first appearance on the Australian music scene at 19 years of age as the vocal front-man of the funk/acid jazz band, The Jive Express.  The group featured some of Australia’s best jazz musicians and they played regularly in some of the country’s most reputable venues.  Along with a rigorous touring schedule, he also recorded two albums with the group with a sea of guests, including some of Australia’s best musical talent. A jazz graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Jono has cultivated a healthy position in the music scene throughout Australia and also now in the UK. His unique tone and musicality has allowed him much versatility. His love for jazz is met with his experience in funk, soul, R&B, music theatre, gospel and dance music, as well as being a songwriter in his own right. This versatility has allowed him opportunities in various of bands including feature vocalist for the Mace Francis Orchestra, drum ‘n’ bass group, The Resonance and funk collective, The Roast, with which he has both performed and recorded with in Australia. Jono’s debut album ‘Places’ draws on his diverse range of musical influences to create a dynamic and fresh new sound that hails him as a considerable force in the world of soul music.

Now establishing himself as one of the best up and coming soul, funk and groove based singers on the UK scene with London/Brighton based “Soul Reality Collective”, who perform regularly at venues and Jazz clubs around London.
