Made up of a core of professional musicians who have worked - and played - together for over seven years, Jazzbomb have performed every major London venue from the top of the Gherkin to the Savoy Ballroom, their individual CVs featuring great names such as Bobby McFerrin, Michael Buble, Jamie Cullum, Tony Bennett, Will Young, Jools Holland, Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney.

Whether the occasion demands sophisticated cool or a full-on party vibe, Jazzbomb’s explosive performance will ensure a thrilling, unforgettable show!

Sam Chaplin

Sam Chaplin’s rich and smooth Sinatra vocals combined with real gospel fire make for an explosive show. He has that rare ability to draw any audience into the eye of the party. While he’s catching his breath he’ll turn up the heat of the party with a biting trumpet solo! He is a front man in demand and has performed at jazz clubs across the capital. Sam writes and arranges the music for the band, carefully crafting a great event.

Simon Allen

It’s worth booking the bomb just to hear Simon Allen play the saxophone. His CV reads like a who’s who of jazz today. He won the Daily Telegraph Jazz Musician of the year at the age of 16 and since then has been seen performing alongside artists of the stature of Wynton Marsalis and Julian Joseph. He was chosen to lead the horn section in the band for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, backing artists such as Phil Collins, Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney. Recently he has performed with Jamie Cullum and recorded with Katie Melua.

Tom Mason

Tom basses the Bomb. Known as ‘the horse’ for his sheer ability to consume anything at anytime. His appetite for food is only matched by his passion for digging out unrelenting swing and groove bass lines. Tom is becoming a regular both in London and New York jazz haunts. He has recorded and toured with a whole string of ‘greats’. He picked up an award for the Best Jazz Album of 2009 with the Robert Mitchell Trio. Let’s just say he certainly keeps the bomb ticking over!

George Hart

If you want to see what pure joy looks like, watch George behind the drums. He is a technician of the highest quality and will stun you with his precision. But most likely you will be long gone in his red hot Salsa rhythms. He is in demand as a session drummer, is a regular on the London jazz scene and has played several residencies at Ronnie Scott's.
