Quentin Collins - trumpet

Brandon Allen - tenor saxophone

Ross Stanley - Hammond Organ

Enzo Zirilli - drums

This funky, hard bop, Hammond-organ quartet - led by talented Aussie tenorist Brandon Allen and fiery hard bop trumpeter Quentin Collins - is a new and exciting group that is gathering speed on the international jazz scene. The group plays their own diverse originals plus classic tunes from the late 50's to 60's. The quartet is completed by Ross Stanley(Hammond organ), who has played with Stan Sultzman, Jim Mullen, Grooveyard and Nostalgia 77, and Enzo Zirilli (drums), who has worked with the who's who of Italian musicians plus a host of top Americans including Tom Harrell and Pete Bernstein. This year the band performed in Italy and at the Douro Jazz Festival in Portugal. The band will release their debut CD in 2010 on Sunlight Square Records...

"Brandon Allen is arguably the most exciting tenor player in Britain today. His phrasing is unashamedly emotional, soaked in the blues tradition" Tony Hall, Jazzwise

"Collins is the real deal – confident, musicianly, versatile – and is a genuine prospect, both as a composer and a gutsy, intelligent soloist" Chris Parker, Times Jazz critic

"A trumpeter whose style is a sizzling update of the Morgan/Hubbard approach" MOJO Magazine
