LIVE REVIEW - Antonio Forcione and the Quentin Collins Quintet

It’s not any exaggeration to say that Antonio Forcione is one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world – and he certainly showed this at his recent live concert at the Hideaway. Two 50-minute sets of exquisite live jazz with inspired musicianship from six-string prodigy Antonio and worthy accompaniment by the Quentin Collins quartet. The product of the union was simply breathtaking. Antonio’s delivery was dynamic and dextrous just as we’ve all come to expect of him but also this performance came with passion and verve as well. Inside a jazz workshop - week Eight

So, having taken advantage of the two week break by:   A. reminding myself that a balanced diet does not mean bacon AND a roll and rediscovering veg, B. learning to live without a respiratory system full of tree pollen and dust and C. getting the feeling back into my hands - nice!

Inside a jazz workshop - week Seven

Well, the class continued but so did Chelsea and by this week having done nine 12 hour days straight carrying plants, compost, gravel, more gravel and did I mention the gravel...? I was well and truly finished. While the great and the good headed to SW3 admired the gardens and supped on champagne I was passed out at home by half six knowing I had a 6am pre judging start on Tuesday. Read more »
